Five spectacular finishes produced massive paydays when ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri delivered its biggest spectacle of 2025 inside Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on November 16. There, ONE World Champions and contenders alike walked away with $50,000 performance bonuses from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong after delivering highlight-reel stoppages that left the Japanese crowd in pandemonium.

Yuya Wakamatsu made his first ONE Flyweight MMA World Title defense against reigning strawweight king Joshua Pacio, weathering early trouble when the Filipino legend stunned him with short hooks before surviving a guillotine choke attempt. The Japanese warrior trapped Pacio’s back and unloaded punches plus grounded knees throughout the opening frame, though the challenger’s resilience carried him into round two.

His survival proved short-lived. Wakamatsu connected with a clean one-two combination that dropped Pacio at 54 seconds of the second stanza, then hammered him with knees to the head until the referee intervened, earning the champion a bonus.

Christian Lee handed undefeated Turkish challenger Alibeg Rasulov his first career defeat in their lightweight title rematch. The two-division ONE World Champion denied every takedown attempt before connecting with a knee to the body and high kick in round two. When Rasulov shot for another takedown, Lee sprawled and trapped him in a D’Arce choke before unleashing grounded knees that forced referee intervention at 2:32, improving his record to 18-4 with 17 finishes while pocketing $50,000.

Takeru Segawa earned his first ONE Championship victory on Japanese soil by stopping Denis Puric via second-round TKO at 2:49 after scoring four total knockdowns. The former three-division K-1 Champion flustered the Canadian-Bosnian veteran with diverse attacks in the opening frame, dropping him twice before Puric stormed back with heavy punches in round two. The Japanese star proved too much, scoring two more knockdowns to force the stoppage while improving to 45-5 and positioning himself for another crack at Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The three-time ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion showcased evolving striking before taking the fight to the canvas, working with ground-and-pound before taking the back and securing the finish while remaining undefeated in mixed martial arts.

Finally, Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin overcame early adversity to score a stunning third-round TKO of Jake Peacock at just 26 seconds of the final stanza. The three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion weathered trouble in the opening round before dropping the British-Canadian with a devastating left hook in round three, improving to 155-59 while claiming his bonus check.
