Manel Kape Demands Title Shot After Stunning Knockout of Brandon Royval at UFC Vegas 112

Manel Kape beats Brandon Royval at UFC Vegas 112.

In the main event of UFC Vegas 112, Manel Kape faced Brandon Royval in a highly anticipated flyweight clash headlining the card. The bout ended quickly and dramatically, as Kape shocked fans by knocking Royval out in the very first round. The flyweight main event concluded when Kape landed a clean right hand, flooring Royval before unleashing decisive ground-and-pound strikes.

Referee Herb Dean was forced to step in and stop the contest at 3:18 of round one. The stoppage was officially ruled a KO/TKO victory for Kape. Early moments of the fight were competitive, with Kape applying pressure while Royval relied on movement, volume, and unorthodox entries.

Royval attempted to disrupt Kape’s rhythm using pace and angles, but struggled to keep the powerful striker completely at bay. Kape eventually timed Royval, rushing forward, landing a perfectly placed right hand that immediately dropped the former title challenger. Despite Royval protesting that the stoppage was quick, Kape’s emphatic finish left little doubt about his dominant performance.

Following the win, Kape is currently on an impressive three-fight win streak and believes he’s next in line for a title opportunity. The fighter made sure to call out the newly crowned champion, Joshua Van, during the Octagon interview.

Manel Kape believes Joshua Van is scaredĀ

Joshua Van recently became the UFC flyweight champion at UFC 323 when Alexandre Pantoja got injured during the fight. Van admitted that he didn’t want to win that way and has talked about a potential rematch with the Brazilian. However, Manel Kape is ready to do anything in his power to get the shot next and has already issued a warning for Van.

ā€œHe’s scared already. Till I take that gold, I’ll eat, sleep, and think about him every day. And he’s gonna sleep and dream about me. I’m gonna be the worst nightmare he’s ever had in his life,ā€ Manel Kape via Press conference.

Apart from this, Tatsuro Taira defeated former champion Brandon Moreno at UFC 323, pushing many fans to take him seriously. Many believe that victory firmly places Taira within the title conversation alongside elite flyweights chasing immediate championship opportunities. However, Manel Kape shut down speculation, claiming he is the division’s most entertaining force and confidently predicting championship glory next year.
