Khamzat Chimaev Targets Colby Covington in Wrestling Match While Awaiting Former Champion
Khamzat Chimaev hasn’t stepped into the Octagon since winning the belt back at UFC 316 against Dricus Du Plessis. However, it seems like the ‘Borz’ is ready for his next outing and has some big names on his radar.
Recently, during the RAF 6 event, Arman Tsarukyan got into a huge brawl after hitting opponent Georgio Poullas during a heated moment that quickly escalated out of control.
The American was constantly hitting Tsarukyan on the back of his head, which frustrated him and ultimately led to the massive physical altercation. Colby Covington was there supporting Poullas during the event and witnessed the entire chaotic situation unfold cageside.
Meanwhile, Khamzat Chimaev saw the whole incident live on stream and strongly reacted after watching everything happen. Following that, Chimaev took to X and made a direct call-out to Covington, expressing interest in fighting him soon. “Next RAF I will make American boy humble again colbiclown let’s go,” wrote Chimaev via X.
Covington is one of the best American wrestlers in the UFC roster and has a long rivalry with Khamzat Chimaev. The ‘Borz’ considers himself the best wrestler, making this potential clash an America vs. Russia rivalry.
