UFC, as a fighting promotion, has never told its employees and fighters to be cautious about their political stance. Top fighters have often used the platform to share their political and personal beliefs with the world.
UFC CEO Dana White has mentioned clearly that the promotion will never censor fighters and will not take away the freedom of speech. One of the biggest names who has often been vocal on the internet is the veteran commentator Joe Rogan.

During the last U.S. election in 2024, Rogan was a big supporter of Donald Trump and had him on his show. The episode got millions of views and evidently helped Trump to connect with more young masses.
However, over time, Rogan has shifted his stance and has often been seen criticizing Trump and his policies during his podcasts. In a recent interview, Dana White was asked about his long-term employee and friend, Rogan’s views.
“He was very liberal, then when the world started to lose its mind. I mean, if you’re not a little Right, you’re not right,” said Dana White via Ted Cruz Podcast.
Dana White, when asked about Joe Rogan: He was very liberal, then when the world started to lose its mind. I mean, if you're not a little Right, you're not right. I think that a lot of these guys, who were liberal at one point, including me, I was too.

White himself has been a huge supporter of Donald Trump and has hosted him in several UFC events. Their friendship goes beyond decades, and White has also given powerful speeches at RNC events. According to White, he and many guys used to be on the other side of the discussion, but eventually changed their ideology.
“I think that a lot of these guys, who were liberal at one point, including me, I was too. Common sense. Common sense and a lot of the other nutty stuff that was going on in the world,” Dana White continued.

Joe Rogan advocates for UFC fighters’ pay
Recently, a significant discussion has been underway regarding UFC and fighter pay, with numerous experts contributing to the debate. Throughout its history, many UFC veterans have complained about getting mistreated by UFC and struggling with finances.
One of the biggest reasons for this is that fighters get a very small percentage of the overall revenue of the UFC. Joe Rogan recently talked about this in detail and shared his views by giving examples of his own comedy club.
“The way I run my comedy clubs— the comedians make 80% of the money. We make plenty of money. If we had a comedy club and there’re no comedians, nobody’s coming, right? If you fight, that’s what people are paying to see. They paying to see fighters,” said Joe Rogan via JRE.

Following the record-breaking $7.7 billion deal, there were reports about fighters receiving more money. However, top fighters like Justin Gaethje have not received any major benefits following this deal.
