“Legs Might Shake a Little”- Derek Chisora Unfazed by Deontay Wilder’s Knockout Power Ahead of Clash

Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder are finally set to collide on April 4 inside London’s iconic O2 Arena. The heavyweight clash is scheduled for twelve rounds and will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN pay-per-view, drawing massive anticipation globally.

Originally planned back in 2013, the fight collapsed due to promotional disputes, delaying what fans long considered an inevitable showdown. Now, thirteen years later, both fighters return older, more experienced, yet still carrying dangerous power capable of ending bouts instantly.

Wilder had initially pursued a blockbuster fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but ultimately shifted focus toward Chisora for this long-awaited matchup. When asked about Wilder’s knockout power, Chisora responded confidently, showing no fear and expressing belief in his own resilience.

My legs might shake a little bit but I ain’t going down. Let’s be honest about it. You know why I’m not going down because I’m gonna jump on him and hold his a**,” Derek Chisora via The Stomping Ground.

Derek Chisora has openly credited Deontay Wilder for his devastating knockout power, highlighting his impressive tally of 43 knockout wins. “The Bronze Bomber” is one of the hardest-hitting heavyweights in recent years, feared widely for his explosive finishing ability.

Despite that, Chisora is renowned for his incredible durability, consistently absorbing punishment while continuing to press forward relentlessly inside fights. At 42 years old, the British veteran is nearing retirement and could potentially call time on his career after this bout.

Meanwhile, Wilder is fully focused on defeating Chisora convincingly to rebuild momentum and position himself for another major title opportunity. A victory here could help Wilder secure a potential high-profile clash with Oleksandr Usyk, further elevating his legacy in boxing.

Did Deontey Wilder finish Tyson Fury’s career?

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury shared one of the most intense rivalries in recent times for the world heavyweight championship. Both fought with each other thrice, and Fury won two fights, but there were some controversial moments.

Fury’s father, John Fury, recently talked about those fights and shared a unique perspective about the Gypsy King’s future. “Tyson has been gone since the Deontay Wilder fights — they finished him. Wilder completely done him. Makhmudov is a problem for Tyson. I am the first one to say it,” said John Fury via Playbook Boxing.

Tyson Fury is currently scheduled to fight Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 after returning from his retirement. Fury was also involved in some recent controversies with Wilder regarding alleged cheating accusations.
