Nate Diaz Explains Why He Rejected Conor McGregor Fight: “He’s On His Last Dying F**king Leg”

Nate Diaz and Conor McGrego

Nate Diaz is undoubtedly one of the most popular MMA fighters globally, maintaining a loyal fanbase even after announcing retirement. Following his departure from UFC, Diaz explored boxing and participated in high-profile bouts against Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul.

Despite mixed results in boxing, Diaz remained a relevant figure in combat sports discussions and continued to draw attention due to his unapologetic personality. The veteran fighter is now scheduled to make his return to MMA against Mike Perry at a Netflix-backed event on May 16.

In a recent interview, Diaz revealed he was offered opportunities to fight bigger names during his potential return to UFC. “They wanted me to fight Conor McGregor right now… I want to fight Charles Oliveira. I want to fight the best of the best when they are the best of the best. Conor’s great, but I’m not trying to go k*ll off Conor when he’s on his last dying leg,” said Nate Diaz via Theo Von Show.

Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have fought twice, each securing one victory, creating one of the most iconic rivalries in mixed martial arts history. Diaz shocked the world by submitting McGregor and ending his incredible undefeated run in the UFC, cementing his legacy forever.

However, “The Notorious” bounced back strongly and won the rematch, leveling the score and reigniting interest among fans worldwide. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited a trilogy fight, as both superstars have exchanged callouts multiple times, yet no official bout has been confirmed.

Nate Diaz goes off on Dustin Poirier and Daniel Cormier in a recent NSFW rant

Nate Diaz has always been known for his heated rivalries with fellow UFC superstars, often creating massive attention through confrontations. One of his most notable rivalries has been with Dustin Poirier, as both fighters frequently exchanged verbal insults and online jabs over the years.

Fans highly anticipated a potential clash between the two, but the fight never materialized, and recently Diaz mocked Poirier over it. “He is a p*ssy. He had penis removal surgery, so we didn’t get to fight,” Diaz continued.

Diaz also brought in Daniel Cormier into the discussion, given their recent online altercation, including Ben Askren. “[DC] I was nowhere near champion, and I got paid way more money than you. That’s a f**king bitter little b*tch. You’re a great wrestler, you can’t fight for sh*t,” said Diaz.

Given that Charles Oliveira is the current BMF title holder, Nate Diaz also didn’t shy away from making fun of the Brazilian. “B*tch ass Oliveira. I believe I’d beat the fcking sh*t out of [him]. He’s walking around with my belt,” Diaz added.

Nate Diaz didn’t like the way Charles Oliveira fought against Max Holloway in the BMF fight, as it was underwhelming. Apart from Diaz, many other experts have also said the same about the fight, and now the veteran wants the BMF belt back soon.
