The last time Khamzat Chimaev competed inside the UFC Octagon was during the UFC 319 main event against Dricus Du Plessis. He secured a dominant victory to become UFC middleweight champion and is now scheduled to compete again at UFC 328.
Chimaev will face former champion and longtime rival Sean Strickland in the main event, with massive anticipation surrounding their showdown. However, many fans have criticised his inactivity, questioning why the champion has not fought more frequently since capturing the title.

In a recent interview, the Russian fighter addressed these concerns, explaining his situation while defending his preparation and activity levels. “I don’t care. I make millions. These people are just talking and doing nothing. I make more money out of the UFC… wherever I go, people want to sponsor, they want to do different things with me,” said Khamzat Chimaev via Beyond The Win.
