Dzhabir Dzhabrailov Calls Out Christian Lee After Stopping Chase Mann At ONE Fight Night 42

Chase Mann had Dzhabir Dzhabrailov hurt, on the canvas, and on the wrong end of a frenzied finish. He still could not put him away. That is the part Dzhabrailov already knew about himself, even if nobody else did yet.

The 21-year-old Turkish welterweight knocked out Mann with a thunderous left hand and follow-up ground strikes at 2:31 of round one in the main event of ONE Fight Night 42: Mann vs. Dzhabrailov on Prime Video on April 10 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, moving his record to a perfect 7-0 with his fifth consecutive first-round stoppage.

Mann had landed a short right hand early that sent Dzhabrailov to the canvas, swarming immediately. The finish looked close. Dzhabrailov scrambled upright, reset, and went back to work. It went exactly as planned.

“In the beginning, yes, he was showing that he was a bit stronger, and he was able to do something,” Dzhabrailov said. “But I generally know that I’m unbreakable. So I just did what I was supposed to do.”

The finish itself was built on patience and deception. Dzhabrailov had been landing single shots all round, conditioning Mann to the rhythm. The moment Mann stopped accounting for combinations, the opening arrived.

“Mann got used to it, and he didn’t really expect that after those series of one-punch strikes, there would be a series,” Dzhabrailov said. “And then he just missed my uppercut.”

The right hand that preceded the left hook missed, but Dzhabrailov pivoted straight into the left hook without hesitation, dropping Mann flat. Two hammerfists ended it.

He rated the performance at seven out of ten, with mistakes already identified on video review. The modesty is genuine — this is a fighter who views first-round finishes as a byproduct of preparation rather than a measure of dominance.

“We don’t really plan to finish anybody off in the first round. It just happens this way,” Dzhabrailov said. “I’m just doing my work, and I’m trying to do it really well.”

The ONE Welterweight MMA World Title held by Christian “The Warrior” Lee is the destination. Dzhabrailov is not rushing toward it, but the message has been sent.

“Christian Lee, hold your belt tightly,” he said. “We’re coming for it.”
