Conor Benn Predicts How Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Will End

The long-awaited showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally appears closer than ever, and now fellow British star Conor Benn has shared his prediction for how the heavyweight blockbuster could play out.

For years, boxing fans have debated who would come out on top between Fury and Joshua, with failed negotiations, title complications and timing issues repeatedly stopping the fight from happening. Now, with an agreement reportedly in place for later this year, attention is beginning to shift toward how the contest itself might unfold.

Speaking during a recent Kick stream, Benn admitted he sees only two realistic outcomes once the pair eventually step into the ring.

Conor Benn Thinks Fury Wins On Points Or Joshua Gets A Stoppage

According to Benn, he believes the fight either ends with Fury controlling the action over twelve rounds or Joshua landing something big enough to force a stoppage.

“Probably Fury points. Fury points or AJ stoppage is what I would say,” Benn explained.

“But then again, I am sitting on the fence. That is how I see the fight panning out. It’ll have to be an AJ stoppage or Fury on points.”

It is a prediction many boxing fans may actually agree with. Fury’s movement, size and boxing IQ have long made him one of the hardest heavyweights in the world to beat over the distance. Meanwhile, Joshua’s biggest advantage has always been his power and ability to finish fights when he finds openings.

Fury himself has promised supporters that he plans to knock Joshua out when they eventually meet. However, a Fury stoppage would surprise some observers given that his last knockout victory came against Derek Chisora back in 2022.

Both Heavyweights Still Have Business To Handle First

Before fans fully focus on the mega fight, both men are expected to come through separate warm-up contests later this year.

Joshua is currently scheduled to face Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25. The fight will mark another step in Joshua’s rebuild as he continues working alongside Team Usyk following recent changes around his camp. Fury, meanwhile, is also expected to have another outing following his recent victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov.

Assuming both heavyweights avoid injuries or setbacks, Fury vs Joshua could finally become reality after years of anticipation. Even now, the fight remains one of the biggest possible events in boxing purely because of the rivalry, personalities and endless debates surrounding who the better heavyweight truly is.

And if Benn’s prediction turns out to be correct, fans may either witness a tactical Fury masterclass or a dramatic Joshua knockout that changes British boxing history forev
