“Confident” Chokpreecha Runs It Back Against Abdallah Ondash At The Inner Circle 24
Two years ago, Chokpreecha PK TomTKalaiyont and Abdallah Ondash fought to a narrow verdict. This Friday, they settle the score in very different form.
The two-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion runs it back against the Lebanese knockout artist in a strawweight Muay Thai rematch at The Inner Circle 24 inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, July 31.
Their first meeting came at ONE Friday Fights 70 in July 2024, an intense three-round battle that Chokpreecha edged via majority decision. That result remains the only blemish on an otherwise spotless promotional record for Ondash.
Both men arrive in markedly different form than they did two years ago. Chokpreecha snapped a three-fight skid with a second-round finish of Huynh Van Tuan in his last outing, while Ondash has ripped off four consecutive knockout wins since that lone defeat.
“Compared to two years ago, Abdallah still possesses heavy power in his punches, but he has improved his speed,” Chokpreecha said. “He also added other weapons, like his kicks, which I need to be careful of.”
Two of those four finishes came inside the opening round, against Thai duo Singdomthong Nokjeanladkrabang and Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai. Chokpreecha insists that evolution on both sides has done little to shake his read on how Friday plays out.
“I don’t feel any pressure for this fight, but rather challenged,” he said. “Abdallah has secured a ONE contract, so he’s probably determined to get his revenge and knock me out. But I definitely won’t let that happen. I want to build a winning streak with a second straight victory, especially after my recent slump caused by poor physical condition.”
The rematch lands inside what has long been billed as the mecca of Muay Thai, adding extra weight to a rivalry already carrying plenty of history. At 35, the veteran wants considerably more than a repeat of the closely contested affair from 2024.
“My goal for this fight is a decisive finish,” Chokpreecha said. “I want to beat him again so I remain the one fighter he can never overcome. Even if I can’t find a finish, I’m confident my experience will carry me through all three rounds of trading blows.”
