“Two Baldies Together”- Tyson Fury Backs Dana White Amid Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn Promotional Clash
After years of delays, the highly anticipated Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua showdown is finally happening on December 11, 2026. The blockbuster heavyweight clash is scheduled inside Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with Netflix set to stream the event for fans worldwide.
Turki Alalshikh officially announced the fight following months of negotiations, seemingly putting an end to speculation surrounding the long-awaited matchup. However, almost immediately after the announcement, the promotion became chaotic, with a public clash between Dana White and Eddie Hearn.
For the last couple of months, White and Hearn have been publicly fighting over who should have control of the event. Eddie Hearn, a long-time promoter of Joshua through Matchroom, has repeatedly said Dana White cannot be involved in the Fury–Joshua event.
Hearn has claimed Joshua’s contractual arrangements specifically prevent White, Zuffa Boxing, and TKO from being involved in the promotion. However, in a recent interview, Fury has mentioned that he made changes in his contract to allow White’s involvement.
“It was in my contract, but I took it out. F*ck ‘em. I want him involved. Two baldies together. I like Dana. Good businessman and good guy,” said Tyson Fury in an interview.
Following reports that the fight could potentially collapse over the issue, Fury publicly attacked Joshua and Hearn. The former heavyweight champion claimed that Joshua and Hearn were trying to pull out of the fight, and blamed Hearn’s involvement in the dispute.
He also accused Hearn of allowing his personal dispute with White to jeopardize what could be the biggest fight in recent history of British boxing. Saudi delegate Turki Alalshikh is the main financial force behind the fight. He has been consistently involved in bringing Fury and Joshua together and has separate relationships with both fighters.

The fight’s financial value has been reported at around $200 million, with Netflix involved in broadcasting it. With Turki also having a relationship with Dana White and Zuffa Boxing, it won’t be surprising to see the UFC CEO getting what he wants. Dana White has confirmed that he is promoting the fight and nobody is going to stop him from doing it. It would be interesting to see how things go from this current chaos.
