One returned from a year on the sidelines, while the other switched rule sets for the first time in three fights. Parham Gheirati and Elbrus “The Samurai” Osmanov both left ONE Fight Night 48 on Friday, October 2, with their hands raised and their next targets already chosen.
Gheirati, 22, dropped Nakrob Fairtex twice on the way to a unanimous decision in bantamweight Muay Thai at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. The win lifted the Iranian to 8-1 in ONE in his first outing since knocking out Tyson “John Wayne Noi” Harrison exactly one year earlier.

Gheirati admitted the layoff kept him from his best, but he has no interest in easing back in.
“I’m ready for everyone. Now I’m back and I’ve fixed my injury, so I can do better. I can fight anyone. I want to prove myself and get closer to the belt. I want to get into the rankings, so I want someone in the top five. Anyone is okay for me,” Gheirati said.
“I’ve had nine fights and only one loss, to Rambolek. So I’ll see you soon.”
Osmanov had to dig deeper. Back in kickboxing after three straight Muay Thai bouts, the 25-year-old edged Chinese newcomer Yi Yuxuan by split decision for his fourth consecutive win.
The highlight of his weekend came a day earlier. His younger brother, Dzhamil “Curly Ninja” Osmanov, earned a main roster contract in just three fights, a feat that took Elbrus 10 appearances.

“I feel amazing because I got my contract in my 10th fight. He did it in three fights – three fights, three wins. I was so surprised,” Osmanov said.
With both brothers now on main roster deals, Elbrus wants to share a card with Dzhamil again, this time in Japan.
“Next, I want to fight at ONE SAMURAI in Japan. I want to fight there with Dzhamil. We want to go together, see the Japanese people, maybe go to Tokyo, and fight on the same event, on the same day,” he said.
“We’ve fought on the same event [two] times, and all times we both won. So next time in Japan, we will win again. I’m more confident in him than I am in myself because my brother is better than me.”
