Andrew Tate vs Chase DeMoor: Sidekick Rides the Wave of Renewed Hype

When Daniel Knight founded Sidekick Boxing, he always envisioned building a major martial arts brand. What he didn’t foresee, however, was just how unexpectedly the future would unfold.

Back in the early 2010s, Sidekick focused on sponsoring top-level fighters to elevate the brand. Knight firmly believed that to compete with the industry leaders, you need elite athletes showcasing your gear.

That’s when Knight came across Andrew Tate — at the time, a rising British kickboxer beginning to break through on the international stage.

Knight and Tate quickly formed a friendship and collaborated closely, often discussing marketing ideas daily. Their partnership worked well, but eventually Tate had difficult news: he was being advised to limit his involvement with Sidekick, as some felt the brand’s growth should not be tied too heavily to him.

The partnership officially ended when Tate retired from kickboxing and shifted his focus to building his online businesses, including his webcam studios.

For Knight, it seemed like the chapter with Tate had closed. But years later, Tate exploded into global media attention, and old clips, interviews, and sponsorships resurfaced across the internet. As Tate’s legal cases dominated headlines, journalists looked into his past — and Sidekick Boxing was regularly mentioned in mainstream media, though not always in the most flattering context.

Talk of Tate returning to combat sports has circulated for years. Now, with Andrew Tate vs. Chase DeMoor putting him back in the sporting spotlight — and Tate now serving as CEO of Misfits — the attention has shifted to a more positive narrative.

And once again, the old partnership between Tate and Sidekick refuses to fade. As interest in Tate surges, Sidekick continues to receive millions of monthly views tied to their historic sponsorship, riding a new wave of hype from a relationship that began more than a decade ago.
