Bogdan Shumarov has spent months preparing for fights that never happened. That run of bad luck finally ends on November 6.
The Bulgarian lightweight faces Azerbaijani newcomer Gasham “Tiger” Mammadov in kickboxing at ONE Fight Night 49 on Prime Video, the final bout added to a now-complete card. The event airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.

Shumarov’s frustration has been building. He was once in line to face ONE Lightweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel before an injury derailed the matchup.
He then traveled to Tokyo to face Rukiya “Demolition Man” Anpo at ONE SAMURAI 4, only for the Japanese star to miss weight. For the second time, Shumarov was left without an opponent through no fault of his own.
The 30-year-old brings a 19-3 record and a 3-1 promotional slate into this assignment. Every one of his ONE victories has ended by knockout, proof of his considerable power.

Mammadov, 23, makes his debut with a 21-3 record and a size advantage at 6-foot-1. The Silk Muay Thai representative faces one of the toughest first assignments imaginable, though his frame could cause real problems in the kickboxing format.
An upset would send the Azerbaijani’s name through the division overnight. For Shumarov, a statement win would finally put him back in the World Title conversation.
Lucas Gabriel headlines the card against unbeaten Magomed Magomedov in lightweight MMA. ADCC World Champion Victor Hugo also makes his promotional debut against Devhonte Johnson in openweight submission grappling.
