Buakaew Guards A Perfect Promotional Record As ONE Friday Fights 173 Extends A Loaded Lumpinee Night
The action at Lumpinee Stadium will not stop once the lightweight Muay Thai title rematch ends on Friday, October 2. ONE Friday Fights 173 follows The Inner Circle 33 with nine more bouts across Muay Thai and MMA, live in Asia primetime from Bangkok.
Nearly every athlete on the card has the same prize in mind. All but one are chasing a US$100,000 contract and a place on ONE Championship’s main roster.
Thailand’s Buakaew Sor Sor Pakorn tops the bill against Myanmar’s Nat Khat Min in flyweight Muay Thai. The 28-year-old is 2-0 on the weekly series, with split decision wins over Aldo Cruz at ONE Friday Fights 162 and Jacob “Sombat” Thompson at ONE Friday Fights144.
Those margins show how fine the line has been. Keeping his perfect promotional record intact now means solving an opponent from a very different striking tradition.
Nat Khat Min, 27, brings a Lethwei background and a 32-4 career record back to the promotion. The Zwe Kapin Myay representative came up short in his debut and wants a far stronger impression the second time around.
The co-main event matches series veteran Tonglampoon FA Group with Brazil’s Dionatha Santos Tobias at strawweight. Tonglampoon, just 22, already has 10 weekly appearances, including two wins over Mungkorn Sor Sombatfarm and a TKO of Topgun Kor Kanluak.
Dionatha, 26, has finished both of his ONE victories. The Sor Dechapan fighter’s first-round knockout of Kongpoxay PK Seanchai at ONE Friday Fights 101 remains the highlight of his run.
Further down the card, Payakrut Suajantokmuaythai meets Andrii Mezentsev at strawweight, while Nongkhailek Dr.Knotmuaythai faces Cal Cook at flyweight. Gaichon Sor Prawatmuang and Tandiao Por Prawit square off at atomweight.
MMA gets its turn too, with Imran Satiev taking on Babar Ali at flyweight and Youssef Ramadan meeting Jongjun Park at bantamweight. Joanne La vs. Yara Saleh and Kevin Oyervides vs. Hiroyuki complete the strawweight Muay Thai slate.
With a six-figure deal hanging over almost every contest, few fighters on this card can afford a cautious night. For those who deliver, the walk out of Lumpinee could lead straight onto the main roster.
