Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr II in the Works for September: “It Has to Be Eubank Next,” Says Benn

The highly anticipated rematch between British boxing rivals Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr is reportedly being targeted for September 2025, following their intense bout earlier this year. The first fight, held on April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, saw Eubank Jr emerge victorious via unanimous decision, handing Benn his first professional loss.

Despite the setback, Benn remains determined to face Eubank Jr again, emphasizing the necessity of the rematch. “It’s definitely Eubank [next],” Benn insisted. “If I don’t do Eubank next, that ship [has] sailed. It has to be Eubank next. If I don’t, then that chapter’s closed.”

Benn also expressed his readiness and motivation for the potential September bout. “Fingers crossed, we’re working on a date now. There’s talk about returning in September. The reality is, I’m ready to go [in] August. I stayed in the gym. While Eubank was in the hospital being a drama queen, I was back in the gym on the treadmill training. So I think I’ve got a relit fire in me.”

The bout was marked by intense exchanges and showcased the deep-rooted rivalry stemming from their fathers’ legendary clashes in the 1990s.

While official confirmation of the rematch is pending, reports suggest that discussions are underway to stage the fight once again at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Both fighters have expressed interest in settling the score, and fans eagerly await what promises to be another electrifying chapter in this storied rivalry.
