Conor McGregor predicts Islam Makhachev to lose to Jack Della Maddalena

Islam Makhachev is set to make his return to the Octagon, facing welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322. The main event has already generated massive anticipation among fans and analysts, given the unique clash of styles between both champions. Adding to the excitement, former UFC double champion Conor McGregor has shared his bold prediction for this showdown.

Conor McGregor’s message to Jack Della Maddalena

Heading into the fight, Jack Della Maddalena exudes confidence about defeating Islam Makhachev and successfully defending his prestigious welterweight title. Earlier this year, the Australian star captured the championship by completely dominating Belal Muhammad in a one-sided performance inside the Octagon. To prepare for UFC 322, JDM has been training extensively with elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Craig Jones to strengthen his grappling.

In a recent Instagram post, Jones discussed with Della Maddalena about the message Conor McGregor had sent. In that message, the ‘Notorious’ advised the welterweight champion to strictly follow his game plan to dismantle the Dagestani with ease. “He will be light work at this weight. No finishing capability or positional awareness whatsoever. He is a backpack at best. Nothing to fear. Fear not! Patience, fitness, and ferocity, and he is sparked unconscious inside the 5,” said Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor’s rivalry with Islam Makhachev

Conor McGregor’s intense rivalry with Islam Makhachev and Team Khabib traces back to the legendary UFC 229 event in Las Vegas. During that event, the ‘Mystic Mac’ was thoroughly dominated by Khabib Nurmagomedov, and a massive brawl erupted between both camps. Despite the controversy and chaos, this incident significantly boosted UFC’s global popularity, drawing enormous attention to the sport from new international audiences.

Since that time, McGregor and Team Khabib have frequently clashed on social media, exchanging heated remarks that continue to fuel their rivalry. As expected, the ‘Notorious’ has decided to back JDM in the upcoming title clash at UFC 322.
