Daniel Dubois Targets Tyson Fury Fight in 2027: “That’ll Be Ground-Breaking”

Daniel Dubois has his sights set on a potential showdown with Tyson Fury in 2027, with the former heavyweight world champion believing a fight between the two British heavyweights could be a landmark moment for boxing.

Dubois, who has established himself as one of the most dangerous punchers in the heavyweight division, believes Fury would be interested in the matchup if the opportunity presents itself. The prospect of the two heavyweights sharing the ring would generate significant interest among boxing fans, given their contrasting styles and experience at the highest level.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Dubois expressed his enthusiasm for the potential clash, suggesting it could be something special for the sport.

“That’ll be ground-breaking. Fury’s a fighting man, I’m sure he would want it,” Dubois said.

Fury, a former two-time heavyweight world champion, has built his career around major heavyweight contests, including his memorable trilogy with Deontay Wilder and his rivalry with Oleksandr Usyk. A fight against Dubois would offer another significant all-British showdown for the former champion.

Dubois, meanwhile, has continued to establish himself among the heavyweight division’s leading names. His aggressive approach, punching power and willingness to engage have made him a dangerous opponent for anyone in the division.

A potential 2027 meeting would depend on both fighters’ plans, activity and positions in the heavyweight landscape. With major fights still possible for both men, the matchup remains a prospect rather than a confirmed event.

Nevertheless, Dubois has made his interest clear. If the two heavyweights eventually agree to face each other, the fight could become one of the biggest British boxing events of the year.
