Current Misfits MMA champion Dillon Danis has the opportunity to settle one of his longer rivalries the past few years. At the event called Misfits Mania: The Fight Before Christmas, he will make his first title defence against MMA veteran Anthony Taylor in a trip to Dubai at the end of the year.
As confirmed by Misfits Boxing on social media, the fight will co-headline on the high-profile card for the promotion. “A time for revenge,” Misfits posted on X.
“Dillon Danis looks to defend his Misfits MMA title and to settle the score in this long-standing feud with Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor.”

A time for revenge started three years ago during the promotion of Misfits Boxing DAZN Series 003, where Taylor and Danis were involved in an altercation. As the pair went face to face, Taylor swung twice towards Danis before landing a big right hook, stunning the famed New York grappler as he leaned over into a Dodge pick-up truck.
The MMA veteran turned Misfits fighter will get his wish to finally settle the rivalry with Danis in the ring next month, in contention for Misfits light heavyweight championship. Meanwhile, Dillon Danis is looking to have his most active combat sports campaign since his competitive grappling tenure.
This fight follows after his 15-second demolition of Warren Spencer to capture the inaugural Misfits championship title. The controversial grappling superstar put on a clinical performance the last time around, putting Spencer in a guillotine choke following a clinch with both fighters going to the ground. Danis will be looking to replicate a similar performance against Taylor and exact his revenge after a long-lasting feud.
