Donald Trump Commends Jake Paul for “Great Courage” After Loss to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua

Last weekend, Jake Paul stepped into the boxing ring against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and suffered a brutal defeat. From the beginning of the bout, Paul struggled against Joshua’s overwhelming power and size and was constantly on backfoot. In the sixth round, Paul got hit by a nasty right hand that dropped him, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Ahead of the fight, experts warned Jake Paul about facing a heavyweight like Joshua, but the ‘Problem Child’ ignored advice. He entered the ring aiming to exploit AJ’s weaknesses and shock the world, yet endured punishment and emerged visibly bloodied. Despite defeat, his courage earned respect worldwide, with praise coming from fans, legends, and even United States President Donald Trump

“On the plane I just got to watch the Jake Paul Fight, and he did really well, especially as a display of GREAT Courage against a very talented and large Anthony Joshua. Fantastic Entertainment, but Kudos to Jake for his Stamina, and frankly, Ability, against a much bigger man,” wrote Donald Trump via Social media.

Jake Paul has long been a vocal supporter of Trump and openly backed his administration across social media platforms. The influencer boxer was even invited to a White House event last year, highlighting his close alignment and public admiration. Following Trump’s recent remarks, Paul shared the President’s comments on his Instagram story, proudly acknowledging the recognition he received.

UFC veteran mocks Jake Paul following loss against Anthony Joshua

Despite the loss, many observers, including Anthony Joshua, credited Jake Paul for showing intent and surviving six hard rounds inside. During the post-fight interview, Paul admitted his jaw broke in two parts yet vowed to return stronger after surgery and recovery. However, many, such as UFC superstar Colby Covington, mentioned how this could be the last time fans would see Paul inside the ring.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jake’s done cosplaying as a fighter for good now. Hang the gloves up, Jake. There’s no shortcuts or anything they can ever inject you with that will make you a real fighter,” said Colby Covington via his YouTube.

Paul has already jokingly called out Canelo Alvarez for a potential fight and strongly believes he will be back soon. Irrespective of his loss, the hype around the fighter has not been extinguished. It will be interesting to see when the ‘Problem Child’ makes his return and against whom.
