Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has reportedly signed former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou for an upcoming MMA bout. Since parting ways with the UFC, Ngannou has competed only once in MMA under the PFL banner and has also stepped into the boxing ring twice, facing high-profile opponents such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
Known as one of the most feared fighters in combat sports, Ngannou has remained a major topic of discussion among fans. News recently surfaced that he had been released from the PFL, leaving many wondering what his next move would be.
It has now been revealed that Ngannou is scheduled to fight Philipe Lins on May 16. The bout will serve as the co-main event of MVP’s first MMA card, which is set to be headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.
The event is expected to take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will be streamed live on Netflix. Ahead of his return to action, Ngannou also spoke about his future ambitions in combat sports.

Francis Ngannou hints at possible Jake Paul fight
Jake Paul has transformed from a YouTube personality into a professional boxer over the past few years, taking on several well-known names along the way. His list of opponents has included fighters such as Anthony Joshua, Nate Diaz, and Anderson Silva.
Interestingly, before Paul’s bout with Anthony Joshua was finalized, Ngannou was reportedly approached about fighting him. At the time, the former UFC champion declined the offer, reportedly feeling the matchup was beneath him.
However, the circumstances now appear to have shifted. With Ngannou signing with MVP, speculation about a potential clash with Paul has started to grow. The Cameroonian fighter even hinted that the possibility of facing Paul might now be closer than ever.
“MVP is the promoter, so who knows, maybe this means I’m one step closer to knocking out Jake Paul too,” Ngannou said.
Meanwhile, Paul has not competed since suffering a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. The defeat reportedly left him with a double jaw fracture, which has delayed his return to the ring.
Although nothing has been officially confirmed, a showdown between Paul and Ngannou could be a possibility in the future if circumstances align.
