Georgia O’Connor: Inspirational British Boxer Dies at 25 After Brave Cancer Battle

Georgia O’Connor, a rising star in British boxing, has died at the age of 25 following a courageous fight against a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The talented athlete passed away just two weeks after marrying her partner, Adriano, who stood by her side throughout her illness.

O’Connor gained national recognition when she won gold at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games and later turned professional in 2021, remaining unbeaten with a 3-0 record. She also held titles in other disciplines, including taekwondo and kickboxing, and was known for her musical talent, often sharing videos of herself playing guitar online.

She was diagnosed in January 2025 but continued to show strength and positivity, even sharing heartfelt moments on social media, including her wedding. In her final post, she called Adriano her “superhero,” highlighting their deep bond.
