When asked about the rumored opportunity, Topuria told Betsson Sport, “It’s very possible,” fueling excitement among fans about what could be a landmark card for the promotion.

Topuria, who became the UFC Lightweight Champion in June 2025 after knocking out Charles Oliveira in the first round at UFC 317, has been on an unstoppable rise. Before moving up to 155 pounds, he also reigned as the Featherweight Champion, defeating Alexander Volkanovski by knockout and later defending the belt against Max Holloway. He eventually vacated the featherweight title earlier this year to focus fully on the lightweight division.

The UFC’s potential debut on Paramount+ marks a new era for the promotion’s broadcast reach, and having a champion like Topuria as the headliner would make a strong statement. Known for his crisp striking, knockout power, and confident personality, “El Matador” has become one of the sport’s biggest global draws.
