In one of the most bizarre fights in recent boxing history, Jake Paul faced former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua last night. The fight received huge attention from fans because of marketing, celebrity hype, and nonstop debate across social media platforms. As many expected, AJ made it look easy, dominating exchanges before scoring a brutal knockout victory in the sixth round.
As soon as the fight started, Joshua steadily took control by pressuring Jake Paul with his jab. As rounds passed, Joshua’s heavier shots and body work began to affect Paul as the YouTuber-turned-boxer got into surviving mode. The fighter did try his luck with several wild, ineffective overhand rights, but nothing worked.
The fifth round became the turning point, Joshua flooring Paul twice with brutal right hands that left him clearly hurt and struggling badly. In the sixth, Joshua ruthlessly closed the show, scoring another knockdown before a final right hand finished Paul emphatically.
Immediately after the knockout loss, Jake Paul was seen bloodied, visibly shaken, and repeatedly complained about suffering a serious jaw injury. Soon after, the boxer shared an X-ray image online, confirming that his jaw was indeed broken from the brutal encounter. “Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days,” wrote Jake Paul via Instagram.

Despite suffering a broken jaw and brutal defeat, Jake Paul appeared calm, respectful, and surprisingly optimistic during post-fight reactions. He credited Joshua’s power and experience, admitting the size difference made exchanges difficult throughout the fight for him consistently.
Paul added he plans to recover quickly, stay active, and return soon, insisting setbacks will not slow momentum going forward. Him calling out Canelo Alvarez was smart, given enormous financial upside and global attention potential for future fights.

Anthony Joshua acknowledges Jake Paul’s courage after KO win
Anthony Joshua had promised an early knockout against Jake Paul, failed initially, but ultimately secured a dominant victory. The last comparable knockout came against Francis Ngannou last year, making Paul’s longer survival surprisingly impressive for many observers. After the win, AJ praised the ‘Problem Child’ publicly, crediting Paul’s determination, toughness, and willingness to step into unfamiliar danger.
“Jake has spirit, he has some heart. He tried his best. A lot of fighters haven’t got in the ring with me, and Jake did. Even when he got knocked down, he kept on trying to get up. I take my hat off to him,” said Anthony Joshua via post-fight presser.

Following the victory, Joshua didn’t waste much time before calling out former heavyweight champion and long-standing rival, Tyson Fury. It will be interesting to see whether the ‘Gypsy King’ comes out of retirement to fight AJ in 2026.
