Johan Ghazali, Ramadan Ondash Bitter Rivalry Co-Headlines The Inner Circle 24
Some friendships survive competition. Others do not make it past the opening bell.

The two 19-year-olds first crossed paths in 2019 as children competing on the amateur circuit, building a loose friendship over the years that followed. They never actually fought each other, since they competed at different weights, until both eventually found their way to ONE Championship.
Ghazali, the Malaysian-American sensation nicknamed “Jojo,” earned his six-figure contract in 2023 and has since grown into one of the promotion’s most closely watched teenage talents. His path to the top has been built on the kind of composure that belies his age.
Ondash, the Lebanese knockout artist known as “The Scorpion,” secured his own six-figure contract in 2025. He recently moved up to flyweight and won his debut in May, a performance confident enough that he immediately called out his old friend.
That callout changed everything between them. Ghazali, offended at being challenged by someone who was supposed to be an ally rather than an opponent, accepted without hesitation.
Neither man has said much publicly about what led to this point, but the fight itself will speak clearly enough. Whatever existed between them before July 31 no longer matters, because from the opening bell onward, this is personal.
The pair share the card with a major title storyline of their own. Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu headlines the night with the first defense of his ONE Bantamweight MMA World Title against unbeaten Azerbaijani finisher Elbek Alyshov, a matchup that carries its own significant stakes.
But for a card built around veterans and rising contenders, the Ghazali-Ondash bout stands apart for a different reason entirely. Few matchups on any ONE Championship card carry this much personal history behind them.
Two additional strawweight Muay Thai bouts round out the card, giving fans a full night of action before Ghazali and Ondash settle their score. For two fighters who once called each other friends, none of that undercard noise will matter once they are alone in the ring together.
