Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller has a pro record of 26 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses. He’s eager for his next fight after a majority draw against Andy Ruiz Jr. However, he has also shown interest in facing Oleksandr Usyk. He believes he can perform better than Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury against the Ukrainian champion.
In an interview, Miller explained why he thinks he can do better. He pointed to his size, strength, higher punch output, and aggressive style as key advantages. He also shared his plans for when he becomes a free agent.
“I’ve been in this game for too long, and I need to give myself a fair chance. I’ve been taken advantage of… I’m at a point in my career where I have 5-6 years left, and I want to give myself the best shot.”

Jarrell Miller, once considered one of the fittest heavyweights, saw his career take a hit due to failed drug tests. Over the years, he has made headlines for the wrong reasons.
One of the biggest setbacks came in 2019 when he was dropped from a major fight against Anthony Joshua after failing three drug tests. Andy Ruiz Jr. replaced him. The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association found GW1516 in his system, followed by HGH and EPO in later tests.
In 2020, he failed another pre-fight drug test, costing him a bout against Jerry Forrest. Despite this, he has managed to bounce back, recording three wins, one loss, and one draw. His only recent defeat came against Daniel Dubois, who stopped him in the 10th round with unanswered punches.
In January 2024, Miller was involved in another controversy. According to a report by Miami TV station WSVN, he assaulted an employee at a car dealership before driving off in a repossessed vehicle. The 35-year-old allegedly put the employee in a chokehold, slammed him to the ground, took the keys to a Dodge Ram, and fled the scene.

CAN MILLER BEAT USYK?
In today’s boxing world, being “bigger and stronger” doesn’t mean much when it comes to winning. Usyk has already proven he can handle bigger, stronger opponents. But he isn’t unbeatable.
Anthony Joshua got his tactics wrong twice. Tyson Fury did well but not well enough. Daniel Dubois is still holding onto that one low-blow moment, but he also quit.
A fitter, well-conditioned Miller could beat Dubois and stop him in any round. But he’s not beating Usyk. Usyk moves too much, keeps a high pace, and can go the full 12 rounds without slowing down.
When Usyk fought Chisora, he was only one fight into his heavyweight career. He had just fought Chazz Witherspoon, recovered from COVID (which he never used as an excuse), and then went straight into the Chisora fight. At that point, he still looked like a cruiserweight, not a full heavyweight. Even then, the fight wasn’t as close as people made it seem. It took him a few rounds to adjust to Chisora’s style, but once he did, there was only ever going to be one winner.
