ONE Championship’s Crevar And Jaworski Rewrite The ADCC Record Books In Krakow
Two ONE Championship submission grapplers returned home from Poland as world champions, and both left their mark on the record books along the way.
Helena Crevar and Pawel Jaworski captured gold in their respective brackets at the 2026 ADCC World Championships in Krakow, delivering performances that will echo through the sport for years.
Crevar entered the +65KG bracket as the top seed and top favorite, and she left no doubt about why. The 19-year-old cruised through the loaded field with a perfect submission run, dispatching Matilda Reid via rear-naked choke in the quarterfinals before forcingElizabeth Mitrovic to tap to a straight ankle lock in the semifinals.
In the gold medal match, she controlled Anabel Lopez from start to finish before sinking in a finishing short choke to secure the title. At just 19, Crevar became the youngest female champion in ADCC World Championship history, and the first woman ever to winevery match of a tournament by submission.
Her promotional résumé already carried weight before Krakow. Crevar submitted Teshya Noelani Alo via Estima lock in under two minutes in her ONE debut, then dominated eventual ADCC bronze medalist Paige Ivette Clymer by unanimous decision this past July.
Jaworski’s path to gold carried its own historical weight. The 22-year-old became the first Polish grappler in history to win ADCC gold, doing it in front of a roaring home crowd at the Tauron Arena in the men’s -88KG bracket.
Entering as the ninth seed, Jaworski rode a wave of momentum from a recent kneebar finish of veteran Rafael Lovato Jr. that earned him a US$50,000 performance bonus. He opened the tournament with an inside heel hook finish of Felipe Costa, repeated the techniqueagainst Gabriel Brod in the semifinals, then ground out a tactical decision over Sweden’s Marlon Tajik in the final.
Together, the two ONE Championship stars now carry the sport’s most prestigious individual title into their next promotional appearances, and both are positioned to chase even bigger milestones from here.
