Sean Strickland Calls “Chechen wh**e” Khamzat Chimaev After Dominant Win Over Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston

Sean Strickland calls out Khamzat Chimaev

In the main event of UFC Houston, Sean Strickland faced Anthony Hernandez in a highly anticipated middleweight showdown. Tensions were high throughout fight week, as both middleweights exchanged heated words and personal insults during interviews.

Many analysts labeled Strickland the underdog after recent inconsistent performances inside the Octagon against elite competition. Hernandez entered the bout riding an impressive eight-fight win streak, showcasing relentless pressure and evolving grappling skills.

Despite expectations, Strickland established control early, snapping sharp jabs and dictating distance with calculated forward movement. Hernandez struggled to implement his usual suffocating pace, finding himself repeatedly beaten to the punch.

As rounds progressed, Strickland’s accuracy and composure gradually broke down Hernandez’s rhythm and defensive structure. In the third round, Strickland intensified his offense, overwhelming Hernandez with precise combinations along the fence.

The referee stepped in after an unanswered barrage of shots, awarding Strickland a decisive technical knockout victory. Moments later, Strickland grabbed the microphone and boldly called out middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev. “I would like a piece of that Chechen wh**e. You never know that guy but that’s what I want,” said Sean Strickland via UFC Houston Octagon interview

Previously, Strickland claimed he alone possessed the wrestling and takedown defense required to challenge Khamzat Chimaev effectively. Their long-standing rivalry has simmered for years, adding extra intensity and intrigue to a potential future middleweight championship clash.

Khamzat Chimaev wants to become a double champion by beating Alex Pereira

While the middleweight division grows increasingly competitive with contenders like Sean Strickland and Nassourdine Imavov emerging, Khamzat Chimaev appears focused elsewhere. The undefeated ‘Borz’ has consistently called out reigning light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, seeking a high-profile superfight.

Chimaev remains confident that his elite wrestling and relentless pressure would neutralize the Brazilian knockout artist’s feared striking arsenal. Despite repeated callouts, Pereira has offered no encouraging response, and Chimaev recently outlined his plans during an interview.

He never responded. I want to become a double champion… I’m not those guys that try to [retire] from the UFC undefeated. I don’t care, I just want to make some big [fights],” said Khamzat Chimaev via Jaxxon Podcast.

Pereira, meanwhile, appears more interested in pursuing a blockbuster showdown against former heavyweight champion Jon Jones at the White House event. According to several experts, Khamzat Chimaev may need multiple successful middleweight title defenses before securing such opportunities.
