Seksan’s Final Bell Tolls Against The Rival He Chose Himself
Thirty years inside the ropes will end this Friday, and four-time Muay Thai World Champion Seksan “The Man Who Yields To No One” Or Kwanmuang wants his last chapter written by the man who always matched his fire.
He closes out his career against rival and former Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion “Elbow Zombie” Muangthai PK Saenchai in an emotional bantamweight co-main event at The Inner Circle 30, streaming live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, September 11.
Their rivalry dates back to 2015. Seksan won the first four meetings on Thailand’s regional circuit before Muangthai finally answered back at ONE Friday Fights 114 in June 2025, and the pair have delivered 23 rounds of action across those encounters.
Now 37, Seksan says the finality of retirement has settled in over time, not arrived all at once.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a while, even before this fight with Muangthai,” he said. “I’ve been fighting since I was 8 years old, and now I’m nearly 38. Part of me feels a bit heartbroken, but it’s necessary.”
That emotional weight has not softened his intentions for Friday night.
“I’m going all out, throwing every strike with full power, and showing every technique I have left in the tank,” he said. “It’s the final three rounds of my Muay Thai career, so there will be no holding back.”
Seksan requested Muangthai specifically for this farewell, drawn to a rival whose relentless, come-forward style has always turned their meetings into wars.
“I personally requested to fight Muangthai for my farewell match because I’ve always admired him,” he said. “I want the fans to remember an absolute war – a thrilling, action-packed brawl.”
Muangthai, for his part, understands the rarity of the moment, calling it an honor to be chosen for a legend’s final walk.
“I am extremely proud that Seksan chose me,” Muangthai said. “When we fight, it’s always an absolute war because we’re both aggressive, forward-marching brawlers.”
Respect outside the ropes will not soften his approach once the bell rings.
“I respect Seksan immensely outside the ring, but once that bell rings, it’s all out,” Muangthai said. “If the knockout presents itself, I’ll take it, but even if it goes the distance, I’m putting on a show.”
He saved his final words for the man across the ring.
“To my big brother Seksan, I know you wanted to fight me, and I’m going to give you everything I’ve got. Let’s make it another classic war and leave it all in the ring.”
