Six English Fighters Fly The Flag In Bangkok This Friday And Saturday
Lumpinee Stadium will have a distinctly English accent this weekend. Six fighters from England compete across three ONE Championship events in Bangkok, with a ONE World Title, a heavyweight main event, and six-figure contracts all in play.
George “G-Unit” Jarvis gets his second crack at ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel in the main event of The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2, after Eersel stopped him in 84 seconds in August 2025. The 26-year-old has since outpointed Sinsamut Klinmee and knocked out Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong, though Eersel’s 14-1 promotional record shows the size of thetask.
Also at The Inner Circle 33, Mia “Her” Trevorrow defends a perfect 2-0 ONE record against Argentine Sheila “La Chinita” Barrios in atomweight Muay Thai. A late starter who discovered the sport as an adult, she has won both promotional outings by unanimous decision,over Kokoz and Magdalena Pircher.
ONE Friday Fights 173 follows on the same Bangkok night, where Cal Cook meets Nongkhailek Dr.Knotmuaythai in flyweight Muay Thai. With nearly every athlete on that card chasing a US$100,000 contract and a main roster spot, the opportunity in front of him could hardly be clearer.
Paul “King of the North” Elliott headlines ONE Fight Night 48 on Prime Video on Saturday, October 3, against unbeaten Turkish powerhouse Shamil Erdogan in heavyweight MMA on Saturday. The 34-year-old TFT MMA product has finished all seven of his professional wins, including a six-second head kickknockout of Regan Upshaw.
Elsewhere on the card, Charlie Guest, a 30-year-old ISKA Muay Thai World Champion, faces American Luke “The Chef” Lessei at featherweight. Guest, 38-15 as a professional, scored three knockdowns on Sam Fitzgerald for a TKO victory in his ONE debut earlier thisyear.
On the same card, English-Irish striker Marie “The Celtic Queen” McManamon meets Hong Kong’s Yu Yau Pui in atomweight Muay Thai. The 36-year-old Knowlesy Academy representative looks to reignite her ONE career after a title loss to Allycia Hellen Rodriguesand a decision defeat to Selina Flores.
