Superbon And Nong-O Back Rambolek For ONE World Championship Run

When two of Thailand’s most accomplished champions speak with unified conviction about a young fighter’s potential, the combat sports world should pay attention. Superbon and Nong-O have delivered the same message about their 22-year-old teammate Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon — he’s ready for a ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title shot.

The ultimate test arrives Friday, January 23, when Rambolek faces dangerous Russian knockout artist Abdulla Dayakaev in the ONE Fight Night 39 main event. The winner could position himself as the next challenger for reigning champion Nabil Anane’s belt, making this a genuine title eliminator disguised as a main event.

Superbon founded his gym specifically to develop fighters capable of reaching championship level. Rambolek has become the proving ground for that vision, evolving from promising prospect to legitimate contender under the featherweight kickboxing king’s guidance.

“He’s a total grinder. He trains incredibly hard,” Superbon said. “What really impresses me is his ‘warrior spirit’. It’s something you can’t just teach. No matter how tough the task, he’s always game.”

The foundation exists — natural talent refined through relentless work. But it’s the intangible quality that separates good fighters from champions.

“He’s got that perfect mix of natural talent and pure hustle. You can see his progress getting better and better every single day.”

Rambolek carries a four-fight winning streak into the showdown, most recently securing a second-round TKO victory over Dmitrii Kovtun last September. Dayakaev arrives with matching momentum — four consecutive wins including six finishes across an 8-1 promotional slate.

The stylistic matchup guarantees action. Dayakaev brings sharp boxing and heavy hands. Rambolek counters with technical striking and finishing ability. Superbon has provided the blueprint, having faced similar styles throughout his championship reign.

“It’s going to be a banger,” Superbon said. “Abdulla is a dangerous guy with scary-good boxing, his hands are sharp and heavy. I’ve already given Rambolek the blueprint on how to handle high-level boxers like that. This fight definitely has KO potential for both sides.”

Victory creates the path forward. Superbon’s ambitions for his prized student extend beyond simple progression — he’s targeting championship gold in 2026.

“I’m confident he has World Champion potential. If he puts on a dominant performance in this fight, he’s ready to challenge Nabil Anane for the title. My goal is to push him all the way to that belt within this year.”

Former longtime ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O brings unparalleled divisional experience to Rambolek’s corner. He’s identified the natural gifts while acknowledging areas requiring refinement.

“Rambolek is naturally gifted. He has sharp weapons, heavy hands, and great ring vision,” Nong-O said. “My main focus with him has been building up his strength, stamina, and defense. Sometimes, when he faces more seasoned or sturdier opponents, he still has some gaps in his defense.”

The defensive vulnerabilities exist, but Rambolek’s confidence remains unshaken. He’s made his championship ambitions crystal clear to his legendary coaches.

“He’s very confident. Rambolek has made it clear: he wants the belt,” Nong-O said. “His form is peaking, and his skills are already there. We’re just adding that extra boost of confidence and power. I believe he has what it takes to become a champion within 2026 if he puts on a great performance in this upcoming fight.”

The path to Anane presents challenges. The reigning champion operates at peak form, but Nong-O’s veteran perspective acknowledges the unpredictability that defines Muay Thai at the highest level.

“If he wins this fight, Rambolek definitely earns his spot in that conversation. Facing Nabil right now is a tall order because Nabil is on fire, but in the world of Muay Thai, anything can happen.”
