Suriyanlek’s Fists Face Ultimate Test Against Towering Decho

Suriyanlek Por Yenying has identified the moment when Decho Por Borirak becomes most vulnerable, and he plans to exploit that split-second opening with the devastating right hand that has produced seven knockouts in eight ONE victories.

The 29-year-old destroyer headlines ONE Friday Fights 124 on September 12 inside Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium, hunting his 84th career victory against an opponent who presents every physical disadvantage imaginable.

Decho brings an eight-fight winning streak and a 6-inch height advantage into their 132-pound Muay Thai collision, but Suriyanlek’s confidence reached new heights following his spectacular second-round knockout of Rambong Sor Therapat at ONE Friday Fights 115.

“In that fight, I felt the pressure in the first round. But as we kept fighting, I started seeing openings,” Suriyanlek recalled. “When he’d throw a knee, his guard would drop, and that’s when my punches could land.”

That pattern recognition has shaped his entire approach to the Decho challenge. The 22-year-old from Singha Mawynn specializes in knee attacks and close-range fighting, but Suriyanlek believes those strengths create exploitable weaknesses.

“He’s a tall long fighter. He was a fighter who specialized in knee attacks back when we fought five-round fights, but lately, his arsenal is so complete,” he analyzed. “I’m not a big fan of fighting knee fighters anyway, and he also has that height advantage.”

Physical disadvantages have defined most of Suriyanlek’s ONE assignments against larger opponents. His 5-foot-2 frame forces him to overcome reach and height deficits through iron chin durability and piston-like right hand power that has produced highlight-reel moments.

The Sangtiennoi Gym representative’s game plan centers on timing attacks when Decho drops his guard during offensive sequences. Those brief moments of vulnerability could determine whether the veteran’s contract dreams survive or die.

“The things I need to be careful of are definitely his kicks and knees. His weakness, I’d say, is when he comes in to throw a knee,” he explained. “There should be a gap for me to get my punches in.”

Victory would position Suriyanlek for the $100,000 contract and main roster opportunities that transform regional veterans into global stars.

“I’m confident that I can take him down,” he declared. “I’m confident in my fists.”
