Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok plays host to another nine-bout card this Friday, April 3, when ONE Friday Fights 149 goes live in Asia primetime — and the main event features one of the most exciting young prospects on the circuit looking to take another step toward the contract that has been building in his direction.
Topping the bill in flyweight Muay Thai is Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai against Moldovan debutant Bejenuta Maximus. Named after the iconic Thai dish for his well-rounded style, the 21-year-old PK Saenchai Muaythaigym product left his hometown of Surin at 15 to pursue his dream in Bangkok and has been making steady, impressive progress ever since.

Currently on a two-fight winning streak, Tomyamkoong is closing in on a six-figure contract and cannot afford a slip. Maximus arrives as an explosive kickboxer with sharp footwork and creative combinations, and a strong debut showing could immediately scramble the main event picture in the division.
The co-main event is a flyweight Muay Thai collision between two fighters in genuinely strong form. The 22-year-old Isannuea Sor Sasiwat has built his reputation as a relentless clinch fighter who overwhelms opponents with knees and pressure — a student of the sport since the age of 8 who has dreamed of the ONE stage his entire career.
Standing opposite him is the 20-year-old Khunpon Aekmuangnon, a southpaw out of Petchnumnoi who arrives on a five-fight winning streak and possesses one of the sharpest body kicks in the division. Both men are firmly in contract contention, which makes this one of the more consequential bouts on the card.
Elsewhere, contracted ONE athlete Payakrut Suajantokmuaythai — the Road to ONE: Thailand 2024 winner — meets former WMC Champion Ikko Ota of Japan in strawweight Muay Thai. Australia’s Isaiah Badato makes his ONE debut against Japan’s Retsu Sashida in flyweight kickboxing, and Sweden’s Vanessa Romanowski faces Thailand’s Ployjan in atomweight Muay Thai.
