Tubtimthong Is Done Losing — And He’s Got a Point to Prove at ONE Friday Fights 144

Three losses in a row will either break a fighter or rebuild one. For Tubtimthong IngfahhotelUbon, the answer became clear the moment he stepped back into the gym.

The 25-year-old Thai striker gets his redemption opportunity this Friday when he faces Chatpichit Sor Sor Toipadriew in the atomweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Friday Fights 144 on February 27 at Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium — and he’s arriving with a detailed game plan and zero margin for error.

“Looking back at those three losses — in the first two, it was really down to my own poor game planning,” Tubtimthong said. “Especially against Banluelok, I left my guard too loose and walked right into his power shots. In my last fight, the issue was ring rust. I hadn’t fought for a long time, so my body felt sluggish.”

The honesty is disarming. But it also explains why the slide happened, and more importantly, why it’s about to stop.

Before the skid, Tubtimthong was one of the weekly series’ most feared finishers. He announced his arrival in 2023 by stopping Petchnumchai Sor Jor Tongprachin and Sakolpat ChotBangsaen in a combined four minutes — two first-round knockouts that made his intentions unmistakably clear. That power hasn’t gone anywhere. The holes in his defense have simply been getting exploited.

Since his last bout he’s stayed in camp without interruption, drilling those defensive gaps shut while sharpening the timing that makes his boxing so dangerous. He’s studied Chatpichit closely and already identified where the opening lives.

“His hands tend to drop when he’s throwing, which leaves his face wide open,” Tubtimthong said. “I’m coming in with that same aggressive style, but I’m going to be much more clinical. The moment his hands drop, I’m putting him away.”

Headlining at Lumpinee for the first time adds another layer of fuel to an already burning motivation.

“I never even dreamed of headlining a ONE Friday Fights card,” he said. “I promise to give it my all. I’m going to win this for my new gym and show everyone that I’m back.”
