Usyk Team Ronaldo or Messi? Boxing Star Sends Message With SIUUU Celebration
Oleksandr Usyk appears to have made his choice in the never-ending Cristiano Ronaldo versus Lionel Messi debate, and the Ukrainian boxing superstar did not need to say much to make his feelings clear.
The former undisputed heavyweight champion was recently spotted at Al-Nassr’s Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Kholood, where Ronaldo produced a sensational hat-trick to help his side secure a 5-3 victory on October 29.
However, it was not just Usyk’s reaction to the Portuguese superstar’s performance that caught the attention of fans. The undefeated boxer also shared a video of himself performing Ronaldo’s iconic ‘SIUUU’ celebration in front of a framed Messi jersey, seemingly taking a playful dig at the Argentine legend.
Usyk Makes His Feelings Clear in Ronaldo vs Messi Debate
Usyk’s latest social media activity has added another entertaining chapter to the long-running rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi, with the Ukrainian appearing firmly on the Portuguese superstar’s side.
The boxing champion has previously expressed his admiration for Ronaldo, with the two sporting icons having developed a friendly relationship over the years.
Usyk has also attended Al-Nassr matches in the past and received an Al-Nassr jersey bearing Ronaldo’s name during a previous visit to Saudi Arabia.

His latest appearance in Riyadh provided another opportunity to show his support, particularly with Ronaldo delivering a memorable performance in front of the home crowd.
The 41-year-old Portuguese forward scored three goals in just 15 minutes during the second half against Al-Kholood, helping Al-Nassr claim all three points in an entertaining eight-goal contest.
Ronaldo’s hat-trick took his career tally to 985 official goals, bringing him closer to his long-standing ambition of reaching the 1,000-goal milestone.
Usyk was clearly impressed by the performance, and his subsequent video featuring the SIUUU celebration suggested that his admiration for Ronaldo extends beyond simply watching the five-time Ballon d’Or winner play.
Although the clip appeared to poke fun at Messi, it is best viewed as playful football banter rather than evidence of any genuine animosity towards the Argentine.
Is Oleksandr Usyk Team Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?
While Usyk has not needed to make a formal declaration in the GOAT debate, his repeated support for Ronaldo offers a fairly strong indication of where his football loyalties lie.
His relationship with the Al-Nassr captain has been well documented, with the pair previously meeting in Saudi Arabia and discussing their respective journeys in professional sport.
Both athletes have built their reputations around discipline, longevity and an extraordinary desire to remain at the top of their respective fields.
For Ronaldo, that ambition continues with his pursuit of 1,000 career goals. For Usyk, it has involved establishing himself as one of boxing’s leading heavyweight champions.
Meanwhile, Messi remains one of football’s greatest-ever players, and the rivalry between the two superstars continues to divide supporters around the world.
Usyk’s latest video has now given Ronaldo fans another reason to celebrate, particularly after the Portuguese forward’s three-goal performance against Al-Kholood.
So, if the question is whether Usyk is Team Ronaldo or Team Messi, his latest antics suggest that the Ukrainian boxing champion is firmly leaning towards CR7.
