Nearly six years have passed since “Golden Boy” Wang Junguang last stepped into a ONE Championship ring. He returns with a single, sobering thought driving him forward: there may never be another opportunity like this.
The Chinese striker faces reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK in a strawweight kickboxing main event at The Inner Circle 35 on Friday, October 16, live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. The event streams exclusively for members at live.onefc.com.

Wang burst onto the scene in 2019 with a first-round TKO of Federico “The Little Big Man” Roma. That statement earned him an immediate shot at the inaugural ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, who claimed a five-round unanimous decision.
A split-decision loss to Aslanbek Zikreev in 2020 further complicated his path. Now 30-7, the Yao Fight Team product admits the stakes this time feel very different.
“It’s a mix of both. I’m nervous and excited at the same time. This return to ONE Championship is my last chance. I feel like I would never earn another shot if I fell this time. My goal is to claim the title and win the gold belt,” Wang said.
“The biggest change is my mindset. I’m much more mentally mature than I used to be; I wasn’t there before.”

Standing in his way is one of the finest strikers of his generation. Prajanchai, a Bangkok native with a staggering 344-53 record, is a former ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion who returns after a year away following a loss to Jonathan Di Bella and surgery.
Wang has not fought anywhere in nearly three years, a layoff that might worry others, but he believes his lifelong kickboxing background tips the scales. He has no interest in simply surviving the night.
“I’m going all out to knock my opponent out in this fight. Fans are probably looking forward to a firefight between us. We will definitely deliver an amazing fight. Prajanchai, I hope you are as ready as I am. And let’s rock,” he said.
