How Did Fury Lose To Usyk?

The stats have come in and according to Compubox here are the exact amount of punches which were thrown by both fighters, and it is not impressive.

In the 12 round contest, Fury threw the most punches with a total of 509 punches to Usyks 423.

Even though Fury delivered the most shots, he was still only averaging 42 punches per round. Which means he was throwing a punch approximately every 4 seconds.

However, the reason why the fight didn’t go his way was because the stats have showed he only landed 28% of his punches, so only averaging 12 clean shots landing on Uysk in each 180 second round.

In previous boxing fights, it has be known for over 3000 punches to be thrown when Soto Karass fought Neeco Macias, so as both fighters not being very active, is a reason why people saw it as a close fight.

yet, with Uysk landing the cleaner shots and outworking Fury is why he won.
