The upcoming ONE 171 is inching closer and fans are eagerly waiting for the event. The card will be headlined by Jonathan Haggerty and Wei Rui. Haggerty is one of the most well-known fighters competing in ONE Championship. The 27-year-old has had 28 fights so far in his career and holds a record of 23-5.
In his last fight, Haggerty went against Superlek in an attempt to pursue greatness. In the fight that took place at ONE 168, the Brit lost the bantamweight Muay Thai matchup via a shocking 49-second knockout. Despite losing his title, Jonathan Haggerty stays optimistic about potentially getting the title back.

Now, ahead of his title fight, he has made it known that he has left no stone unturned when it comes to preparing for his next fight. During an exclusive conversation with Daniel Knight, founder of Sidekick Boxing, Haggerty said:
“This fight is really important to me, I need to keep this world title! I trained as hard as I possibly could. Taken myself away from all of my comforts to be the best version of myself self on fight night. Don’t blink! “

As the event approaches, a rather interesting thing has come to the eyes of the public. Ahead of the fight, Haggerty seems to have gotten the help of Rapper Dizzee Rascal. The two have taken to social media to share the same and it looks like Rascal is helping with light sparring.
That said, the fight is under a week away and it will be interesting to see how it plays out when Haggerty enters the ring against Rui.
