Lebanese teenage sensation Ramadan Ondash believes he is on the cusp of securing a lucrative US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship and sees a potential knockout victory as his ticket to the big time.
The 18-year-old striker will face unbeaten Thai striker Chartpayak Saksatoon in strawweight Muay Thai this Friday, 27th June, at ONE Friday Fights 114 inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium.
Ondash has been on a tear since arriving in the weekly series. He’s amassed three consecutive victories and established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the organisation.
The Lebanese striker has enjoyed his time proving himself. But he feels ready to graduate to the next step. He knows exactly what is at stake. So when he steps into the ring this weekend, he is determined to make the most of his opportunity.
“It has been a beautiful experience, fighting in the biggest martial arts organisation in the world. And now, I am preparing for my fourth fight in ONE and looking forward to getting that contract. The contract is my main objective,” he said.
“I hope it finishes via KO. But I am not searching for the knockout. I want to give a good performance for the crowd and show who Ramadan Ondash is and my fighting style.”

However, standing in his way is a formidable opponent in Chartpayak, who has also displayed an unwavering skill set to win every contest in the series while making a habit of finishing his opponents.
Ondash is well aware of the Thai striker’s pedigree and respects what he brings to the table, but “The Scorpion” believes his unique skill set will be too much for his adversary to handle.
“My opponent, Chartpayak, owns seven wins out of seven, and five wins via knockout. So, his results have been impressive. He faced good fighters who haven’t been able to stand tall against him,” Ondash acknowledged.
“He has very good punches and kicks. He is strong and well-known in Thailand. But, he is yet to face Ramadan Ondash. This Friday, you will see what I mean.”
