Adin Ross Almost Scammed for $700K After Falling for Fake “Khamzat Manager”

Popular streamer Adin Ross was recently caught up in a wild situation after unknowingly engaging with a scammer pretending to be part of UFC star Khamzat Chimaev’s team. According to reports, Ross was approached by an individual claiming to be Khamzat’s manager and offering to arrange an appearance by the undefeated welterweight on Ross’s livestream. In exchange, the imposter demanded a staggering $700,000 upfront payment.

Believing the deal was legitimate due to the Chimaev connection, Ross considered going through with the arrangement until real MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, who actually represents numerous UFC athletes, stepped in. After catching wind of what was happening behind the scenes, Abdelaziz reportedly contacted Ross privately and informed him that the person he was speaking to had no affiliation with Khamzat Chimaev or his official management team. Thanks to that timely intervention, Ross avoided transferring the money and exposing himself to a massive financial scam.

The incident quickly sparked discussion throughout the MMA and streaming communities. On one hand, it highlighted how far scammers are willing to go using fake identities linked to high-profile fighters to trick celebrities and influencers. On the other, it revealed that Ross is eager to collaborate with combat sports stars, sometimes without fully verifying the authenticity of people claiming to represent them.

Abdelaziz’s actions were widely praised for potentially saving Ross from a disastrous loss. Meanwhile, Ross has not publicly confirmed every detail, although he did hint on stream that he almost lost a ridiculous amount of money after being approached with a supposed deal involving one of the UFC’s top contenders. While the scam attempt ultimately failed, it served as a warning to public figures to always double-check who they are dealing with when big money and big names are involved.
