Following the win, Charles Oliveira was extremely hyped and jumped over the Octagon fence to celebrate with the passionate Brazilian crowd. The fighter got emotional and expressed his gratitude towards the roaring fans who came in large numbers to support. After his heartfelt celebration, ‘Do Bronx’ confidently called out the current BMF champion, Max Holloway, for an epic showdown.

Hey, Hunter. Charles Oliveira vs. Max Holloway. BMF [title]. Let’s make it happen,” said Oliveira during the post-fight octagon interview. Oliveira has been wanting this fight for a long time now and wants to avenge his previous loss to Holloway.

Max Holloway responds to Charles Oliveira’s callout

Max Holloway, in his last outing, fought the experienced UFC veteran Dustin Poirier and successfully defended his iconic BMF title. This victory helped the ‘Blessed’ bounce back from his previous devastating knockout loss to Ilia Topuria that happened last year. Following Oliveira’s passionate callout, Holloway immediately reacted and responded to the challenge while streaming live on his Kick channel.

I’m interested. Why wouldn’t I be? We’ve been talking about this fight. Me and him have a history. He’s blaming it on some type of injury. I guess we get to figure it out now,” said Holloway. The Hawaiian fighter clearly stated that he doesn’t want to wait until the scheduled White House event to face Oliveira.

Instead, he suggested that the potential fight should take place at the March 2026 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. Holloway and Oliveira share a past rivalry that dates back to their first encounter inside the UFC Octagon in 2015.

The highly anticipated matchup ended unexpectedly when Oliveira suffered a shoulder injury just minutes into the fight, forcing an early stoppage. As a result, Holloway was declared the winner by TKO, and since then, Oliveira has been chasing the rematch.
