GLORY Kickboxing fans witnessed one of the grittiest performances in recent memory on Saturday night, as Milos Cvjeticanin pushed through a horrific injury to win two fights in a single evening. Competing in GLORY’s one-night heavyweight title tournament, the Serbian showed unreal toughness that left fans and fighters stunned.
Cvjeticanin’s night nearly ended almost as soon as it began. In his opening bout against Sofian Laidouni, he suffered a gruesome toe dislocation that looked bad enough for the contest to be stopped immediately. Ringside doctors stepped in, and in one of the most unsettling scenes seen in combat sports, his toe was snapped back into place on the spot. Amazingly, that wasn’t the end of the story.
Despite clearly being compromised, Cvjeticanin continued the fight and gutted out a unanimous decision win to advance in the tournament. The image of him fighting with a barely functional foot quickly spread online, instantly becoming one of the defining moments of the event.

Last Heavyweight Standing turns brutal
After receiving medical clearance to continue, Cvjeticanin returned for the semifinal against Anis Bouzid. His foot was heavily bandaged, and his movement was visibly limited, but the Serbian once again refused to back down. Even with the injury, he managed to drop Bouzid late in the second round, a moment that proved crucial.
The fight went to the judges, where Cvjeticanin earned a majority decision victory to book a place in the tournament final. On the opposite side of the bracket, Mory Kromah advanced without sustaining a similar injury, setting up what should have been a dramatic finale.

Unfortunately, the story didn’t get a fairytale ending. After further evaluation, doctors ruled Cvjeticanin unfit to compete again, and with no reserve fighter available, the final was called off. As a result, Kromah was crowned the new GLORY heavyweight champion without the two ever meeting.
Even in defeat, Cvjeticanin left the arena to a hero’s reception. Wheeled backstage after the decision, he shared an emotional moment with Kromah, and it’s widely expected that GLORY will look to rebook the matchup in the future.
For now, Cvjeticanin’s run stands as a reminder of just how brutal one-night tournaments can be and how far elite fighters are willing to go once the bell rings.
