Chris Hemsworth is hugely popular worldwide for playing the iconic role of Thor, God of Thunder, in Marvel Avengers movies. The Hollywood star is one of the most jacked actors of his time and remains a major inspiration for many who want to take up training seriously. Being an Australian, Hemsworth is also a huge fan of mixed martial arts and regularly watches UFC events whenever his schedule allows him time.

“A part of me wants to, though, actually. I mean, I’ve trained a lot and sparred a lot over the years, but you know, within the realm of not killing each other. And I’d love to just, one day, go, ‘Right, what have I gotten here?’ And I’ll probably end up flat on my back, starry eyes,” said Chris Hemsworth via COMPLEX.

Chris Hemsworth was set to play Hulk Hogan in a now-scrapped biopic
A few years ago, Chris Hemsworth was slated to portray wrestling icon Hulk Hogan in a highly anticipated biographical drama for Netflix. The project promised to chronicle Hogan’s meteoric rise during professional wrestling’s explosive boom of the 1980s era across American television.
Directed by Todd Phillips, the film aimed to spotlight the cultural phenomenon that transformed sports entertainment worldwide for global audiences. Hemsworth reportedly underwent intense physical preparation, adding significant muscle mass to mirror Hogan’s trademark physique and presence.
Despite early momentum, negotiations surrounding creative direction and rights issues ultimately stalled progress behind the ambitious production at Netflix studios. The cancellation ended hopes of seeing Hemsworth step into the boots of one of wrestling’s biggest legends on the silver screen.
