Suriyanlek Promises Ramadan Ondash A Brutal Flyweight Welcome At The Inner Circle

Suriyanlek Por Yenying has been dropped, hurt, and taken to the edge in ONE Championship. He has never stopped. When his coach Moses told him to go out in the final round against Gregor Thom and leave everything in the ring, Suriyanlek bit down on his mouthpiece, walked through the damage, scored a knockdown of his own, and won. That is the fighter Ramadan Ondash is walking into on Friday night.

The veteran Thai faces Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash in flyweight Muay Thai at The Inner Circle on Friday, May 29, live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

“When I went back to my corner before the final round, Coach Moses told me, ‘You’ve got nothing to lose now. Go out there, leave it all in the ring, and just close the distance,'” Suriyanlek said. “So, I bit down on my mouthpiece, moved forward, and went completely all-out until I managed to score a knockdown back and secure the win.”

That mentality has driven an 86-31 career and 11 ONE Championship wins. He has never been put away, and the fuel that keeps him standing when lesser fighters would quit comes from something deeper than ambition alone.

“Every time I step into that ring, I always tell myself that unless they put me completely to sleep, I am not going down,” he said. “I’m always thinking about my family and the people back home who support me.”

Ramadan arrives as a 19-year-old contracted ONE Championship athlete making his flyweight debut, dropping a weight class after his first professional loss and stepping into a division he has never competed in before. Suriyanlek has spent his entire career absorbing flyweight power. He knows precisely what Ramadan is about to feel for the first time, and he is looking forward to introducing him to it.

“I was actually a bit surprised that he decided to move up to flyweight because he’s going to face much heavier impact and power here,” Suriyanlek said. “I’m used to the power in this division, and I’m confident I can take his best shot. He’s about to get a proper welcome to the division with my signature ‘wild buffalo punch.’ Once it lands, we’ll see if he can take it.”

The scouting report Suriyanlek has assembled on Ramadan combines genuine respect for the teenager’s tools with a precise identification of the weakness that the flyweight environment will expose. Fast hands and heavy early output are real threats, but Ramadan’s gas tank and emotional discipline have both been tested in recent outings and found wanting under sustained pressure.

“Ramadan has great footwork, and his hands are really fast and heavy. But his arsenal isn’t that versatile yet, and he doesn’t manage his gas tank well,” Suriyanlek said. “He fights too much on emotion, which makes him visibly fade toward the end of the rounds. He’s definitely going to come out swinging from the opening bell. And me? I’m absolutely ready to trade with him. I’ve never been afraid of anyone when it comes to going blow-for-blow.”

The contract he has been chasing through eleven promotional wins is within reach of one good night. Suriyanlek does not intend to leave it to the judges.

“I honestly don’t see any scenario where it goes to the judges’ scorecards. In fact, I think there’s a high chance it ends in the very first round,” he said. “Getting that ONE contract would truly be a dream come true.”
