Rambolek Gets First ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title Defence Against Yod-IQ

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon barely had time to leave the ring before his next challenge arrived. Having entered monkhood briefly following his world title win, the Thai returns to competition with a clear mind and a very specific task ahead of him.

The ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion makes his first title defence against Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri at The Inner Circle 30, streaming live for members from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, September 11. Two fighters whose journeys through the ONE Friday Fights circuit have led them to the same destination will now collide for the most prestigious prize in the division.

Rambolek won the belt in March at The Inner Circle 7, turning the combat sports world on its head with a unanimous decision victory over Nabil Anane. That result capped a run of serious upsets: he entered his shot-earning fight against Abdulla Dayakaev at ONE Fight Night 39 as a heavy underdog, knowing Dayakaev had stopped his previous four opponents. He knocked him out in round two, demonstrating that a technical Muay Thai stylist can thrive in today’s faster-paced game. Once Anane was beaten, Rambolek stepped away from fighting altogether, entering monkhood for a period of gratitude and reflection before returning his focus to the ring.

The man standing across from him in September has been building his case with equal conviction. Yod-IQ has strung together ten consecutive ONE Championship wins, including victories over Kiamran Nabati, Alexey Balyko, and Abdulla Dayakaev, the same man whose defeat first opened the title conversation for Rambolek. He trains alongside ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai at PK Saenchai Muaythaigym and has been deliberately modelling himself on that standard.

Yod-IQ has competed more than 200 times in a career that spans three Lumpinee Stadium World Titles across different divisions, making him one of the most tested challengers the bantamweight throne has seen. His $100,000 contract arrived after stopping Balyko, and the wins have not stopped since.

Both men began their ONE journeys on the weekly series. Both turned those foundations into a shot at the world title. September 11 at Lumpinee Stadium is where they settle who truly owns the bantamweight throne.
