A missed hydration test and a canceled fight would rattle most athletes, but Kiamran Nabati found peace in faith instead of frustration.
The Russian standout returns to the main event of The Inner Circle 31 against Nontachai Jitmuangnon in a pivotal bantamweight Muay Thai clash, streaming exclusively for subscribers from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, September 18.

The matchup was originally scheduled for ONE Fight Night 46 last month before Nabati made weight but failed his hydration test, and Nontachai then fell ill, forcing the bout off the card entirely. For a fighter who built his reputation on discipline, watching the opportunity slip away tested him in a way few results ever have.
“I was feeling a little bit sad because I put in a lot of work. I wanted to fight with this guy, but it got cancelled. I made my weight, but I didn’t pass hydration,” he said. “I never missed weight and hydration for six fights. But, you know, I believe in God, and everything is from God. That’s why I feel like it’s destiny.”
Rather than sit idle, Nabati used the extra weeks to sharpen every part of his game, and he arrives at fight week believing the delay only made him better.
“I was ready before, and I’m just as ready all the time. I had to extend my camp, but it’s okay. I was still training. I was still improving my skills,” he said. “Now I am confident, and I am ready for this fight.”

Nontachai has already promised to trade heavy strikes in the center of the ring, and Nabati sounds more than willing to test that resolve.
“I will do everything to knock him out. I’m 100 percent confident. I think maybe in the second round or the first round,” he said. “It’s gonna be a good fight because Nontachai also has a win streak. He’s in form, he’s also a young guy, and he also wants to beat me.”
There was little left unsaid heading into fight week.
“Nontachai, I hope you are ready, and your training camp was good because you have to be ready. I am coming for you, and I will hunt for your head.”
