Jake Paul has unveiled an ambitious list of potential opponents he wants to face before bringing his combat sports career to an end, with Canelo Alvarez, Conor McGregor and Tom Aspinall among the biggest names on his radar.
The American boxer shared a whiteboard on social media titled “Before I Rest,” listing 14 targets spanning boxing and mixed martial arts. The post arrived in October 2026 as Paul looks to return to competition following his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in December 2025.
However, this is not the first time Paul has revealed a list of dream opponents. An earlier whiteboard featuring several familiar names resurfaced alongside his latest post, highlighting how some of his ambitions have remained unchanged over the years.

Jake Paul’s Original Hit List Dates Back to 2021
Paul’s earlier hit list dates back to August 2021, when he was preparing to face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a professional boxing match on August 29.
The original whiteboard featured names including Canelo Alvarez, Nate Diaz, Kamaru Usman, Tommy Fury, Conor McGregor, KSI, Gervonta Davis and Logan Paul. Ben Askren, Nate Robinson and Woodley also appeared on the board, with several names already checked off.
The timing is significant because Paul was still establishing himself as a professional boxer. His upcoming fight against Woodley represented a step up in competition following his victory over Askren earlier that year.
Paul eventually defeated Woodley by split decision in their first meeting before knocking him out in their December 2021 rematch.
The 2021 list demonstrated Paul’s interest in crossover fights involving established combat sports athletes and internet personalities. Several names, including McGregor, Alvarez and KSI, have continued to feature in discussions surrounding his long-term ambitions.

Canelo Alvarez, Conor McGregor and Tom Aspinall Feature on the Latest List
Paul’s October 2026 “Before I Rest” list includes Alvarez, Francis Ngannou, McGregor, Sean Strickland, Darren Till, Ryan Garcia, KSI, Chris Eubank Jr, Edgar Berlanga, Aspinall, Deontay Wilder and Diaz. He also included a reference to the opponent he blames for ruining a previous fight, alongside his ambition to win a world title.
Paul tagged his business partner and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian, urging him to make the matchups happen.
The list covers a wide range of potential challenges. Alvarez is a former undisputed super-middleweight champion, while Wilder is a former WBC heavyweight champion. Ngannou and Aspinall bring extensive heavyweight combat sports experience, although Paul specifically identified Aspinall for a boxing match.
McGregor features for both boxing and MMA, while Diaz is listed for an MMA contest. These distinctions suggest Paul is considering opportunities beyond traditional boxing.
The world title entry is particularly notable because it points towards an ambition to secure a recognised championship rather than focusing exclusively on celebrity crossover bouts.
For now, none of the matchups on the latest board has been confirmed through the list itself. Nevertheless, the contrast between Paul’s 2021 hit list and his October 2026 ambitions shows that several of his biggest targets have remained part of his plans for years.
