Few fighters on the weekly series win rounds through timing and ring IQ quite like Mongkoldetlek Por Pim-on and Dedduanglek Torfunfarm. Tonight, both insist they are done leaving it to the judges.
The Thai rivals meet in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Friday Fights 174 on Friday, October 9, live in Asia primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. Each man has his own reason to chase a statement finish.

Mongkoldetlek, 31, has logged 184 career fights and once raced to a 4-0 start in ONE with his knee-heavy Muay Khao style. That run ended with a razor-close decision loss to future two-sport World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty at ONE: BAD BLOOD in 2022, a defeat he blames on his stamina.
He left the promotion afterward, then returned four years later to win three straight on the weekly series, most recently over Yassir “Salvador” Rassafi. Pundits have questioned his finishing touch, and he wants to answer them while chasing a main roster contract.
“The goal is to go in there and finish Dedduanglek. If I can’t get the finish, it’s going to be tough to walk away with the win. I really have to hunt for the finish,” Mongkoldetlek said.
“I need to bring home this victory and keep pushing toward that main roster spot in ONE. Getting four wins in a row would definitely boost my chances of locking down a contract.”

Dedduanglek, 23, arrives off a loss to Kongsuk Sitsarawatsuer, a rival he had previously beaten. The 2022 Road to ONE: Thailand tournament winner has nine promotional wins but has never stopped an opponent in ONE.
The TDed99 standout has followed Mongkoldetlek since childhood, and he plans to pair youth, body kicks, and an eight-centimeter height advantage against the veteran. If the Por Pim-on affiliate starts to fade, he will pounce.
“I’ll probably test the waters with him first — no rushing in or being overly aggressive. But if he shows any signs of breaking, I’ll definitely go for the finish,” Dedduanglek said.
“Since fighting in ONE, I haven’t gotten a stoppage victory yet. Getting one in this fight would be amazing because it means a bonus and taking down a highly experienced veteran. It’ll really elevate my name.”
