Alibeg Rasulov And Yosuke Saruta Headline Two MMA Additions To ONE Fight Night 43
Two compelling MMA matchups have been added to ONE Fight Night 43: Tang vs. Gasanov, live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, May 15.
Alibeg Rasulov faces Lucas Gabriel in a lightweight collision between a former title challenger desperate to rebuild and a rising contender with a perfect promotional record.
Rasulov made an immediate impact on his ONE debut by dismantling former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Ok Rae Yoon, earning him a shot at ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee in 2024.
An accidental eye poke led to a no-contest that night, and the 2025 rematch ended in a TKO loss — the first defeat of Rasulov’s professional career. The 33-year-old carries a 14-1 record and championship-level experience into this bout, but returning to winning form is now the priority.
Gabriel, 26, arrives on the back of four consecutive ONE wins, most recently defeating Magomed Akaev in February. The Brazilian’s 11-1 record and unbeaten promotional run make him exactly the kind of opponent Rasulov cannot afford to overlook, and a victory would thrust Gabriel into the lightweight title conversation himself.
The second MMA addition pits former ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Yosuke Saruta against Fabio Henrique at strawweight.
Saruta’s name carries genuine historical weight in the division. The Tokyo native dethroned Joshua Pacio to claim the ONE Strawweight MMA World Title in January 2019, completing a journey from Japan’s domestic circuit to the top of the global rankings.
He lost the belt to Pacio in his first title defence and has dropped three consecutive decisions since, most recently falling to Keito Yamakita by split decision at ONE Fight Night 24. A 38-year-old champion-turned-contender, he arrives at ONE Fight Night 43 needing to turn the tide.
Henrique, 34, is fighting for redemption of his own after dropping his promotional debut to Lee Seung Cheol at ONE Fight Night 41 in March. Raw finishing power against proven championship pedigree — with both men needing a result.
