ONE Fight Night 30 was just concluded with British fighters showcasing their talent on the global stage. Three British athletes stepped into the spotlight on this exciting card.

In a high-stakes Featherweight Muay Thai clash, Nico Carrillo faced off against Muay Thai legend Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong. Another much-anticipated showdown saw George Jarvis take on Mouhcine Chafi in a Lightweight Muay Thai bout. Capping off the night, Lyndon Knowles challenged reigning champion Roman Kryklia for the ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title in the main event.

The rising prospect George Jarvis fought Mouhcine Chafi in a Lightweight Muay Thai bout. The fight was a back-and-forth affair. Chafi started the fight strong with strong leg kicks, but was sent to the canvas by a strong punch by Jarvis. The second round was a competitive one, but Jarvis edged by throwing amazing combos that kept Chafi at bay. In the third round, Chafi did land some blows, but Jarvis kept eating them with ease and landed his strong combos. After the fight, the British star was awarded an impressive unanimous decision win.

Another fellow United Kingdom fighter, Nico “King of the North” Carrillo, locked horns with top-ranked Muay Thai legend Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong in a Featherweight bout. The fight was pretty important for both fighters as it would secure them a top spot in the division. But as the stakes went higher, Carrillo decided to step up his game and gave a highlight finish. The Scottish king started the fight with fearsome intention, and it wasn’t long before he got his kill shot in the second round. After a strong first-round body shot, Carrillo followed with a devastating left hook to the body, which was the end for Sitsongpeenong. After such an exceptional performance, Nico Carrillo was rewarded with a well-deserved $50,000 performance bonus.

A tough pill to swallow for Lyndon Knowles

The British fans had to face a tough end for their ONE Fight Night 30. Their loved fighter Lyndon Knowles was fighting for the ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title in the main event against the reigning champion, Roman Kryklia. The fight was not something the fans expected. Lyndon Knowles was supposed to be a new and exciting challenge for the current champion, but what happened was heartbreaking for the fans.

Roman Kryklia made the fight look easy as he finished the debutant in the very first round. Kryklia wasted no time as he came out all guns blazing, unleashing sharp boxing combinations and landing heavy punches within the opening minute. The tall Ukrainian dropped Knowles for the first time with a brutal knee straight up the middle, followed by a crisp left hook.

Although “Knowlesy” showed heart and got back to his feet, Kryklia was already in full killer mode. Smelling the finish, he closed the show with a powerful straight right hand that knocked Knowles out just 2 minutes and 10 seconds into the first round.
